yeah I was curious about this amp...... I figured Ibanez would make it sound good, but I was hoping for a cheaper price! This is why alot of people won't be picking on up.......$1000 is crazy, you can almost get a JSX or 6505 for that new. They should have put about a 500-600 tag on it. They would have made a killin'! Hell why couldn't they, the shit is built in china

I've played the Thermion on several occasions, and I even reviewed it when I played the JSX for the first time. It's a decent amp, a little Recto-ish at heart. I've owned a 5150, now a JSX, and I couldn't say that the Thermion would be on my list of things to get at all. At the price, it's nothing special. If it were $500-700, maybe then I'd consider it a steal. At the tag it's at, ehf that. It's nothing compared to the 5150/JSX. Sorry.

Well your recordings sound good if that is all thermion. But I agree with the others, for a grand there are a shitload of other heads I would rather have.
