Ice cubes close at hand?? Tips please!!!

While plain orange juice and vodka is very good too, it's just so much better with some ICE!
Now my "problem" is...each time i want a new one, I gotta go to the kitchen or maybe even downstairs to get some ice...
Got any suggestions on how to keep ice cubes close at hand without them melting too quickly? Any handyish recepient that wil kep them cold...???
