Ohh. Slipped my mind. That might have to top Weakling. They probably had more influence on USBM, but Windir has a more unique sound that could make for a better new album...
I totally forgot about Coroner, I guess because I don't think of them as "defunct" anymore. There has been talk of a new album from them for a while, Ron talks about it in this interview from early this year.
I'd like to see it happen but I'm terrified of it being shit.
That's why I picked Misery's Omen, that and the other bands the members are/were involved with. IMO it verges on being a crime against humanity for them not to do a follow up to Hope Dies...perhaps they like it that way but it's almost an impossibility that they would release anything other than another masterpiece under the Misery's Omen banner.
@STN: Death Angel came back and is much better than their first foray. I think Coroner could also pull it off - unless they were to be victims of hype.
Coroner?fuck why are ppl talking about Coroner and these kinds of bands? C'mon guys looks to the future without being sheep! This shit will ever help Metal progress.
Lol I don't know what psychologists call that but I call it total alcoholic blackout, dunno if any of you have ever gotten to this stage but it's not good...enjoy.
I'd also be remiss if I didn't say Bal Sagoth. Though not officially disbanded, it's been almost a solid decade since their last release and they have nothing planned for the future. Byron told me via email. So sad...incredible band.
Metal: Carnivore non-Metal (or Proto): Led Zeppelin, with Bonham resurrected from the grave right after he died. It was obvious that Zep had at least one more good album in them (or at least as good as In Through The Out Door).
