Best sub-genre in your opinon

The majority of the music I listen to is Death, or one of the various sub-genres of death. Having said that, for me nothing is better than a good black metal song or album, I just hate having to wade through a humongous pile of BM shit to find anything worth my time. That's why death got my vote.

Black metal may not have the technical prowess of death metal, but bands like Emperor and Satyricon make you forget that with the pure power of their albums. Sometimes you don't WANT to hear guitar solos.

emperor and satyricon most certainly do have the technical prowess of any death act. neither is a particularly good example of non-technical BM. get better references.
