thats not what we're talking about but yeah, i do. the thing that astounds me though is that at least here in midsized nashville, the "projects" are located on PRIME real estate. separating a wealthy revitalized urban neighborhood from the city center are blocks and blocks of projects, the kind of intersections where i lock the doors at red lights. should these blights be located on the edge of the city or in the suburbs somewhere? so that the wealthy could thusly occupy said prime real estate, create a larger tax base, and in turn redistribute the wealth?cthulufhtagn said:

Ok, been away for a while, busy as hell trying to save the world and all. This illegal immigrant issue, just like I've been telling people for over a year and a half now is exploding and it's going to get even bigger. These ass-hole politicians that have been cowtowing to corporate greed are going to get their come-upance in the upcoming elections and illegal immigration is the platform that will make or break the next person running for President. On to my story.
I live in Salt Lake City, about a week and a half ago, I decided to do my patriotic duty and join the Minutemen in a counter protest to the illegals and legals who've decided there's nothing wrong with overruning our country uninvited, raping our welfare system, maintaining their own cultural boundaries, and shattering the melting pot and immigration system that made America strong. I took my wife and 15 year old with me to the protest. BIG MISTAKE!
They set their band of criminals up on one side of a City Building, we set up our little band of less than 100 patriots on the other. We knew we were outnumbered, but had no idea how badly. And neither did the cops. The time came and we marched up the hill to the state capitol building, waving our flags and having more than a few of them waving either the flag of the U.S. they've never held before that was passed out free to them by their organizers, or blazenly waving the Mexican Flag. We got to the capitol, and were told by the cops that we couldn't go back down and had to sit on the hill until their show of disrespect was over. There were 12 cops forming a line to protect what was by now about 60 of us. And then the invasion came. They say there were 25,000 of them. A sea of invaders approached the capitol and marched on the road that encircles the capitol. For over an hour we were surrounded and all we had were 12 cops to protect us. Their faces weren't by any means peaceful as the media would have you believe. These people were ready to kill and if it weren't for the wall of their organizers forming a solid wall on both sides I wouldn't be here to type this now. The crowd was filled with gang bangers wearing their bandannas, flashing their signs. Every tenth flag was the flag of Mexico. More than one tried to break through the crowd and come at us, but the wall of their organizers forming human fences on both sides kept them at bay. Eventually, one invader got through their intellectuals headed straight for us. Two of the 12 cops protecting us took him down. I'm telling you, had it not been for their handlers, this crowd would have been something on par with the LA rioters after Rodney King. The cops around us were literally shitting their pants, you could see it in their faces. After we were finally free to walk our own streets under police protection, one of our group was attacked. One of our fellow American Citizens grabbed the invading offender by the throat and held him, the cops were there in a heartbeat to pull him off and break it up. The invader started to slip away and one very smart guy yelled out, "I want to press charges for assault!" So the cops immediately did their civic duty and arrested the scum.
I don't give a shit what happens to me but to have my wife and kid there was stupid. But I never thought I'd see the day where an Amercian Citizen has to stand in fear of a bunch of criminal invaders and have no-one in government give a shit. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bush the traitor sent our boys off to war to fight and left their families at home and our country completely unprotected. It took 31 people to take down the twin towers and wreak havoc to our economy and feeling of security. And since 9/11, this traitor has let over 5 million people waltz across the border and he doesn't have a goddamned idea who any of them are, where they live, or what the fuck they intend to do to America.
I've been doing a LOT of research on this issue. There are statistics I intend to post here from studies by respectable people if they haven't already been posted. There is nothing compassionate about allowing these people to stay. There is no advantage to our economy or the citizens of America and they're fucking their own countrymen over. Granting them immunity will collapse this country like an eggshell. Most citizens don't know the facts but they're fed up with this shit along with me. I've got 4 kids and I'll be damned if I stand by and watch this place I call home become another 3rd world country. If we're going to fight abroad we need to defend at home or there's no point to it. Mexico screams bloody murder over how we must allow these people to stay here but if you look at their laws on illegal immigrants, they are beyond strict, they are brutal to the ones they capture, They shake them down, rape them, beat them to death or shoot them. This is an invasion people...just as much as someone waltzes into your home uninvited. Diseases we haven't seen in years are popping up all over. I'm a major proponent of legal immigration, my sister in law for one is a legal immigrant and by God, she has earned the right to stay here. But if we're going to give this country up without firing a shot, then it's no country I want to call home and I'll be on the first plane out of here to anywhere there is common sense. Obviously I'm pissed and ranting and raving. I'm sorry, but this is serious shit.

I got bored by the second page of this thread, but I just wanted to add that I think having to get a permit to hold a protest is ridiculous, kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it? A Government approved protest, how boring...
