You couldn't be more wrong. If you review the AC Nielsen numbers from the 2001/2002 growing season, you'll see that retail sales, of orange juice alone, were 3.4 billion dollars. Now, keep in mind, AC Nielsen is only tracking information from retail establishments that have over 2 million dollars in annual sales. So, not only aren't we including most places in the US where you'd actually buy orange juice, we're not including the sale of whole oranges, orange exports, or any other fruit. The orange industry in the US generates billions and billions of dollars annually. If, as you suggested, we "wipe produce from the market", it would have a significant impact on the US economy.

Look at the average american citizen. Does it look like they eat fucking FRUITS AND VEGETABLES!?!?!

If you think this country is overweight now, what do you suspect will happen if you removed fruit from the store?

the funny thing about all this is that most of you think that the US should be some utopian society ... the best thing would be for most is to travel and maybe live in a foreign country for 6 months or so ... you would so much appreciate the shit you have.

several days every week of my pre teen years were spent waiting on line for 2-3 hours at a time for a loaf of bread, dozen eggs or even 2 rolls of toilet paper ... real fun stuff ... if I see or have to do a line at Macy's now with 4 people at front of me at the register, I get all wigged out and sweat .... wonder why?
