I'll have the usual

Nah. The people at the "top" just need to stop raking in so much money. Trickle down economics never worked and never will.
You can't survive in America making $7.25 or whatever an hour. It's not even possible.

Hence why anyone above college age shouldnt be working at fucking McDonald's. If you're 30 with 5 kids, just off yourself and let Sally Struthers deal with it.

People expect too much when paying too little. If I was making $7 an hour, I wouldn't give a shit about you either. You get what you pay for.

When I was working at K-mart, making $4.20 an hour, I had a young mama and her wee boy come through my line out in the Garden Shop. He looked at me and we shared the following conversation:

kid: "When I grow up, I want to work at Kmart!"
me: "No, you don't."
mom: "...thank you!"
me: "Lady, this pays my bills until I'm done with college, that's it."

I worked there for 3 years. I never had to go back. Some people don't have that option. We've all met them. I guess suicide is painless though? :loco:

But the crackstain memories stay with you forever. :Spin:

hahahaha oh, shudder. :puke:

I still have no idea how that one guy coated 2/3rds of the bathroom with dung, because it looked like it occurred naturally. An absolute shitbomb explosion. :err:

Yeah.. the solution isn't raising minimum wage. It's making education a more affordable venture for all people so that they can choose to better themselves is they so choose. Encouraging people to flip burgers for the entirety of their lives is pathetic.

Of course, you live in a capitalist-centric society where you must be a giant, and the only acceptable means to do so is to stand upon the shoulders of the plebs that are unworthy... SO ENJOY!

So everyone can be an MD or a JD or a PhD? The education hypothesis doesn't work. Neither does 1% of the population controlling 80% of the wealth.

Highly scientific jobs would be about the only exception, no doubt about that. No solution is perfect. Really. Most jobs however are doable by the masses provided they have sufficient will and determination to do so.. and some education beyond highschool.

Increasing minimum wage in a society that promotes corporations to profit as much as possible will actually do what erik somewhat touched on in an earlier post on this page. They will raise their prices to sustain the profits they are already used to, and the only two solutions are if people stop buying their products to dictate this is unacceptable (lol) or government intervention. Can the worker now working for $15 an hour afford a $18 combo meal at McDonalds? Lets put aside the fact of unskilled and uneducated people making as much as positions that require some level of education is laughable - can most of the middle class afford such prices for that matter, when all other associated costs of living inflate as a result as well? The only reason the current model is somewhat feasible is because there are unskilled, low paying jobs... and it really isn't all that sustainable either, you're right. Prices for goods seem to be rising anyway, and with every day that passes the lower and even middle class is being phased out and things will collapse out from under the upper class.

You know what?! THERES NO SOLUTIONS. FUCK THE WORLD. WATCH IT BURN

Pretty much.

Funeral planet, dead black asteroid
Mausoleum, this world is a tomb
Human zombies, staring blank faces
No reason to live, dead in the womb
Death shroud existence, slave for a pittance
Condemned to die before I could breathe
Millions are screaming, the dead are still living
This Earth has died yet no one has seen

I'm not asking for a tug job, just an acknowledgement that I do in fact exist. Also assuming an employee to know their menu as well as the customer isn't beyond expectation.

Re: K-Mart. I was once an accomplice to defecation in the women's section of one of these establishments. An ex-gf's little brother dropped a nice steamy one in a purse whilst I held look out. Consider it the pooping friend's network gone extreme.
