I'm sick of music that's called interesting but is pretty straightforward. A good example is this new band called Farmakon that all the metal people are saying is amazingly weird and creative. I raise an eyebrow at that.

I like challenging music, but there are times when you just don't feel like making the mental commitment and need something that's just plain fun.

I've totally lost my interest for music I have to try at. If it doesn't catch me in two or three spins, I shelve it. I don't get it. You can still have complicated music and still keep some catchy melodies in it. That won't make it pop.
