I'm off to see the lizard...

Jimmy Buffett in Atlanta tomorrow night.

Life is good.
His music doesn't interest me. However, after grabbing a few drinks at Margaritaville in Vegas, where they have clips of his concerts on a loop, I wouldn't mind tailgating at one of his shows. Looks like a very cool crowd.

My father is a fan, and has seen him live many times.
His shows are supposed to be a blast. I can appreciate the music in the right environment. You have to respect Buffet for touring the amount that he does. He must truly love playing live.

I'm not a huge fan of his music, either. However, I *loved* his short story collection, "Tales from Margaritaville." I laughed and cried through the whole book.

I'd love to tour too.... if I could charge as much as he does for a show, and still get basically every stop to sell out. I like some Buffett songs. And yep, I've heard he puts on a great show.

I'm afraid that living at the Jersey shore has spoiled my appreciation for JB. Every hack with an acoustic guitar covers him at the seaside bars. It was fun the first 10 or 15 years, but it's gotten old. Maybe I should see the real deal.

Have fun all the same, Glenn. How about a review? Photos?

Glenn;

Do not tell me, lemme guess: You have a sign on your front lawn that says "Tresspassers will be (offered a) shot", right?:) :)

Have a blast tonight. And a few Margaritas on the house.:kickass:

Peace,
Ray C.

At the Astros game tonight (where we had our asses handed to us) I saw a guy in a Jimmy Buffet t-shirt. Then I met Jim Hickey. Sweet!

Anyone know where I can get such a lawn sign?

I saw him once. Very relaxing and laid back (of course, that may have had something to do with the free margs that night!!). His fans reminded me of the "Dead-Heads" - The same loyalty with almost the same amount of ganja!!

I read his book "A Pirate Looks at 50". It was WONDERFUL!! We share a love for the Caribbean, as I lived there for a while (the "VI" in my screen name stands for Virgin Islands).

Have FUN!!!
