I'm Old

I started getting gray hair with 17. Getting more every year. Now I'm 23... and I don't care about age at all.

I wish that in place of my baldness I had grey hair.
I started noticing my hair thinning at around 18.
I'm now 23 and some people think I'm around 27 untill I tell them otherwise.

For most of my life I seemed to act more mature than my age, except for a period between about 19 and 21. By 22 I realised I was being an idiot and went back to my more mature ways.

I guess lately I've felt as though my mind has caught up with my physical age.

I started getting thin in my early 20's, extreme receding hairline by my mid 20's. Had to start shaving my head at around 27.

But once you shave, none of that shit matters anymore. Shaved is better anyway.

your only as old as you allow yourself to get - stay young and crazy in your head and you'll stay young on the outside - act like an old grumpy fucker and thats how you'll be (an old grumpy fucker)

so dont worry about age...and on the + side they say men age gracefully unlike women

and im also 6'3 - yay!

haha
in all fairness, without meaning to come off like a sexist cunt
id say there may be a bit of truth to this, not for any biological reasons though
as women get older there's so much pressure for them to buy all this anti-aging shit and look younger and stay perfect rather than just let themselves age with pride
whereas men really don't have that same pressure to stay young and perfect looking

i just don't see how that sort of pressure can be healthy is all
and i can see enough evidence of all this in my grandparents
my grandad died with some pride, of cancer in january, and like before he died we had some of the most profound conversations ever, id never seen the man so at peace with himself and the world
he was always quite understated and subtle, just blended into the crowd rather than making a show of himself to compensate for any insecurities or anything
my nan is the complete opposite, she's a fucking dick and she's only getting worse. she turns uh
fuck
80? this month, and she's one of the most annoying people i know.
she's very glamorous, very over the top, constantly in the lime-light, and she does admittedly look very young for her age but i sometimes think about what that younger looking exterior has done to her head, which is what matters.

its a fucked up world when someone can't be allowed to just age with their pride intact.

I did the shaved thing once and kept it up for about 6 months. In my mind I'm not ready to do that long term lol.
Even my family were wierd about it, since it wasn't too long ago that I had long hair.

Yeah, the family will always be weird about it. Bog recently did it and his folks freaked the shit out. The thing is that he doesn't do it all the way, so you can still see the outline of the receding hairline, which instantly makes him look middle aged.

Just lose all that shit and embrace thuglife dude. Hit the gym hard and augment it with some muscle, then the picture is complete. Luke's brothers are all bald and they get pussy like crazy.

This is true, I don´t know why, age is by your side when is about chicks, and more weird is when you are married, im having a lot of chicks aproaching me since im married, and they know it. :headbang:

Not many people question my authority in public

This quote is pure gold!

I'm 27, and somtimes I'll look at highschoolers and feel like I'm just a little older than them, then I realize that they probably see me as an older middle aged dude. THEN I feel super old. Or going to shows and referring to the audience as "kids" and actually meaning it. That's poison for the ego.

I´m 23, birthday in november (fuck 24!!!!)
And yeah sometimes I fucking feel old!!!!
But it feels more like "time is running fast"
Esp. when I cant sleep and think about all the shit I wanted to do when I was 16 and wished beeing an adult.

Omg....Im only 18 but i somehow feel old too. I think that its because right now in my life Im starting my bachelor in music composition, and trying to start my own studio with a friend....but...somehow i feel like im running out of time.

I feel old when you're going somewhere on the bus/train and you look around and realize almost everyone is at least 5 years younger than you. I'm 23, but I've been told numerous times that I look like I'm 28 or something like that, I guess I have a fairly mature outlook on life, and the beard that I've sported since I was like 16 sort of aids that looking older thing.

I can totally relate to the feeling disconnected from the younger generations, I should be in the middle and kind of connected to both the younger "kids" and the "adults" but to be honest I can't find many younger people I can really have a good conversation with. They all seem to do things that would have bored the shit out of me at that age, and that combined with the huge ass ignorant attitude that most 16-20 year old's sport...well...yeah...let's just say it gets to me.

I feel more at home with adults now, like for example I can have a better conversation with the guys on here who are older, than I feel I could with some of the younger guys (no offence meant to anyone here!), and I have better conversations with my older brothers friends (guys who are 32-35) than guys who were in my year at school and such. I also don't mind being at home most nights as well, which I personally think is a sign of getting more mature.

The fucked up thing is that I've been feeling like this since I hit 18, maybe I'll end up making a 180 and being more immature and having the "fuck it" attitude again, we'll have to see what February brings...

well I'm 39, I just rolled off a hot 20 year old college chick to read this amusing post. I still play to packed clubs and I get better looking with every gray hair. Keep playing guitar boys it does wonders for the mid-life crisis. I think she's waking up, later you old fucks! :headbang:
