Double kicks. I borrowed my buddies D6 so I could run 2 of those instead of D112/D6

Anyhow pics to fallow. I wish I had more than 10 channels to work with.

I've never understood this double kick drum nonsense. Just get a 7 piece kit with one kick and get a double kick pedal!
Less money spent on kick heads, less stuff to take to gigs and recording sessions, less tuning to do... Chances are the kicks are all gonna be sample replaced anyway to be honest!
Oh but wait, double kick setups look so much cooler!
Posing bastards in my opinion, if he's the kind of overcompensating drummer that normally play double kick kit's then chances are he'll be shit and won't touch half the toms, leaving all your effort miking up his monster kit's a total waste. If so then it looks like you're in for one hell of a session.
Well, it's their music, so I'd say it does not matter if you think it is necessary or not. In most cases it will be worth it.While double kicks do indeed suck, I fucking LOATH assholes with more than 3-4 toms or more than 2 snares.
Why?
Because that extra floor or rack tom usually ends up getting hit MAYBE one time during the song. Was it really necessary?
I say no.
Depending on how it goes I may trigger stuff, but I would like to keep it somewhat natural and blend in samples. But we will see.... Depends on how good this kit tracks.

. The snare actually sounded ok, the kicks rang out to much and the toms were pretty bad. The cymbals had some cracking, so I'm going 100% superior/SSD on this.
