Impulse help

Hello everyone,

I've been scratching my head with this new impulse concept.

I think they are really good but I'm a little confused how to use them..



I have tracks recorded in DI, from my little labs IBP that I used to split the signal for reamping later.

So, I would need to use the Wagner preamp plugin now to preamplify the track.

then I would use the SIR2 plug to load the impulses that I've downloaded.

is this all?

And, are all these plugs loaded as VST plugs?

And... are you sending them to your amp's power section and micing the amp or are you strictly getting these insane tones straight out of the box?



Also, I've been reading here people are using other programs instead of SIR2. Anything better out there?

What about this Revalver MkII program?

Do the impulses work with Waves GTR or Amplitube?


Anyhow, thanks in advance for any help on this... I just think your tones are killer and I'm hearing great results from you guys.

Yup you got it. Try Voxengo boogex, and if you got the cash get the new peavey revalver.

How do you create the impulses?



Btw... I will definitely add to the impulse collaboration once I've gotten used to this.

I have a Mesa and 5150 in the studio mic'ed with 57's and royer121's through great river preamps... sounds sick.

I'll try to experiment with creating impulses.
