Impulses question

This may be a dumb question , not sure. I use IR1A by Mellowmuse for my impulses . Just now noticed that changing the LEN / ST knob greatly changes the sound of the impulse. Do most of these impulse loaders automatically set the impulse to the correct settings, because I noticed that it tells you the impulses length , for example .02 seconds. I'm guessing LEN /ST means length? Do I have to turn the knob until LEN/ ST matches the length of the impulse? I know for guitar wet should be full and dry should be none...

Good question.
Also got the IR1A and ask myself this question the whole time. ;-)

It's start and length. Put start (ST) to 0 and length (LEN) at 100%. Of coarse there are no rules, if it sounds good it is good. I'm speculating a little here because there's no manual. I think the best way to use IR1A, for guitar impulses anyway, is ST=0 LEN=100 Wet=0 Dry=-Inf everything else at 0.
