In your opinion is cultural genocide as serious as physical genocide?

It's unnatural and anti-human to prevent cultures from growing and changing and, because the end or mutation of some practises is the CENTRAL way cultures grow and change, to even go to extraordinary lengths to prevent the end/change of some practises is horrendous. The French separatists in Quebec are an example of this .
Once again, I will have to challenge you on this. What exactly is considered extraordinary lengths? How does some of the regulations by the French separatists (which have been in power for 18 years in the past 28 BTW) have done prevent the evolution of the Quebec culture? What are those regulations you speak of? And how have they stalled the evolution of Quebec's society?

I don't know, Toby--the problem with the major media corporations is that they aren't forcing you to buy their shitty music. You'd have to really specifically target the aspects of their operation that limit choice, rather than those that offer (attractive but shitty) choices.

Like the monopoly on radio, for example.

they cater to the majority and there's no crime in that. yeah, it sucks, but there's nothing you can do about it except try and promote your own thing. the cream rises to the top usually anyways.

(just not until after you die, usually)

the problem is that there's rarely anything truly criminal going on. utilizing evil business tactics and breaking the law are totally different. even it they're "wrong" you can't arrest em.

and I disagree about "illegitimite" tactics. there's plenty of legit ways to fight back, first and foremost a boycot.

Change being the assimilation of French speaking community everywhere in Canada to the Anglo-Saxon world. How many acadian in Louisiana still speak french? How many of them actually have anything left of their french heritage?

Great idea Alex!

criminal charges? who's name specifically would the victim be?

p.s. just b/c you WANT the govt' to file criminal charges doesn't mean the DA will.
