Inflames(swim cover) Need mix advice

Hi

FIRST OFF......This was NOT intended to sound like Clayman.

Anyways, I've been mixing this and im not entirely happy with the mix.

Any suggestions on how to improve this?

EDIT: I know the Lead guitar's inotation is a bit out. Will rerecord it once I get my guitat inotated.

I like the way you've gotten some of the original vibe in the guitars. Nice! The mix is quite heavy on the bass side, though. Especially the kick seems quite overpowering. Drums are pretty robotic, too.

Good job on the playing. Sounds pretty good. The hi-hat is a little distracting. You could probably drop and randomize the velocities a little bit. Missing the shimmery tremelo effect on the guitars on the post breakdown riff.

Good choice of cover. I like this song a lot.

Good playing dude! The main things that stick out are that the lead tone is somewhat strange (the verb probably not helping it) and the robotic drums. I don't like the snare sample much, it sticks out too much to me- especially the ambience. There is something lepou-ish about the guitar tone.

Thanks man, I need to go and revide the lead tone. Any suggestions on that?

Yeah i must find a free wah plugin because it sounds like tremolo over wah.

* Less reverb on the snare
* Cut Lows on snare reverb
* More punchy bass to fill up the void in the lower mid region of the rythm guitars
* Edited the velocities on the snare to vary a bit

Overall sound is boxy. a bit better on the late revision though.
