I saw it in the theatre when it first came out. I thought it was pretty awesome. Though I thought the part towards the end with the chick and shit kinda dragged and was boring. I would have rather scene more nazi scalping.

He's really a "love him or hate him" director/scenarist/producer/etc.

And even then, I personally adore some of his movies like this one and Pulp Fiction, and totally don't get other ones, like the Kill Bill series.

All in all though, different strokes for different folks!

I gotta agree here. It had some funny stuff , but it was pretty damn boring for a QT film.

It's not really supposed to be a comedy?
Has some very very dark, subtle comedy in there, but it's not really a comedy overall and if you watch it expecting it to be such, you're obviously gonna be dissapointed.

I personally love the film. Quite unconventional for a Tarantino as well. Far talkier and slower with less "LOOK AT ME IM A STYLISH DIALOGUE SEQUENCE BETWEEN A COUPLE OF GANGSTERS HURRRRR" shit. This flick shows that Tarantino's a master of tension when he tries as well.
A 9/10 for me, and I now eagerly await whatever he does next. I'd totally written him off before this film

100% agree... It isn't supposed to be watched as a comedy or a violent action movie, so if you see it that way then it's no wonder you don't like it.
