Inhale Screamer!

What methods do you use to make this sound the best possible?
You don't.
Record them, let the band wallow in their own shittiness and get them out the door in hope that the next clients you get will be better.

God these guys need to practice for like 1 year first, their timing is soooo shocking. I think the screams are the least of your worries lol

The first guy that posted in this topic apart from you, you pay him a nice big sum of money and he will give you some nice sounding gurgly noises in exchange.

On second thoughts, I just listened to the track, dont taint Gareth with that.

Make the autotune stop.

Track to a click.

There's a lot more in that mix to worry about besides the inhales.

I didn't listen to the track, but from what I've learned tracking inhale vocalist the voice is going to be very thin. My chain is SM7-API 312-Distressor (4:1) and I dual track the highs and lows separately from each other to let the vocalist focus on what he's doing and get a really dialed performance.

From there I will do aligning with elastic audio to get the vocals to get them tight with each other. Afterwords I will send to two busses, a "pre" vocal bus that I will use for some modest compression via UAD 1176 and then a squashed bus that I usually keep the fader 4-6db lower than the main bus and raise or lower to taste.

Good luck dude!

I all likely hood the band actually hates the screamer and they just can't get anyone any better.

Was in a band like it with TWO shit screamers.
Sad thing was both me and the bassist can/could scream much much better than them.
But they were the front men so they recorded.
Fun times.
