Hey guys,

Thought I would let you know that episode 3 of Inject'd, the other metal podcast I do with Jim from the Entropy League just went live. Our special guest this episode is Mark Strigl from the Talking Metal podcast.

Inject'd is a show where we just talk about metal.

Quite interesting, but somehow the conversation sound a little awkward but i was into it for some certain topics. First.. about the new slayer single topic presensted by Mr. mark S. He sounded like he expected you guys to make a bland comment or something, he was quiet after your reactions. maybe he dislikes it. So to Evil C.. is your side about slayers cult really that positive or maybe just overwhelmed by the fact that lombardo is back on board? For me yeah its a good song, but kinda still belong to the new era slayer (Divine-Diabolus) except the drumming. But not in a bad way. i liked those albums.. Did u dislike any of thier albums? (Havent heard God hates us all in its full entierty due to the all negative feedback it received, but in those few songs i heard.. still sounds ok to me)

Mr. Arch,

Awkward, hmm? Sometimes really hard to have a flow when the three guys are thousands of miles away. Gotta love the technology though that enables us to do this. Thank you skype. Ding!

As far as slayer goes, always been a big fan of Lombardo. Although some of the latter day slayer stuff is definitely not up to par, from what ive heard so far, Im digging it. Hopefully the entire album is actually decent. God hates us all has a few good tracks, nothing spectacular though.

Couple comments. First off, Inject'd is a cool show and I wish you guys would do it more often. I really enjoyed the latest episode and I always get something out of it. I was wondering about Gigantour, for instance, and that was interesting information about the ticket sales on that tour.

Good point you made about the technology. You can have a much better conversation when you are in the same room with someone else than you can over a phone line, skype call, etc. The only thing I really noticed is that you guys would talk over the top of each other at times, but that is to be expected.

Last comment was on Slayer, I think there are some differences over time but name me one band that hasn't put out a weaker album from time to time. No band has put out an absolute killer classic album each and every release. I really like God Hates Us All, for example. To each his own I guess.

I think you said in one episode of MSRcast that Papa Josh would be on Inject'd at some point. Is that gonna be soon cuz I'm lookin' forward to it man, you guys always talk about some interesting shit. As to the new Slayer songs, I think they have some good parts and good ideas but they're just not GREAT. Cult kicks ass, but Jihad and Eyes of the Insane don't really do it for me. Araya's voice seems to be shot to shit, except he still sounds on point when they play live for some reason. Speaking of new shit, has anyone heard the new Mastodon track?...it's beyond fucking killer

I will get him on real soon. We already have a guest for the next episode, so maybe after that..would love to get him on ther.

yeah the other two slayer songs are ok, not as good as cult. starting to get more worried now.

Oh.. and about the gigantour. Did it not do well? How come?

Regarding other talks.. In Flames.. i used to think Anders has this unique quality in his voice (Jester/whoracle era) but that point of view has changed now. Why does he have to croon like jonathan davis in his clean vox. E.g. The Quiet Place. and yea the drums are so artificial sounding. And i saw one of thier recent videos.. i almost didnt recognize anders in that get up. totally a nu metal get up. Even though they turn up the ante in thier latest offering.. maybe good riff wise but still sounds likes a nu metal band with melodic metal influences. They forgot that they are veterans already, instead of leading they are bowing to the mainstream. Who is the leader of the band anyway?

I went to Gigantour '05 at Jones Beach. They were playing "In My Darkest Hour" and I was headbanging like a fucking madman as always, when this smug lookin young dude behind me, who was sitting down like a bored prick, told me to move because I was "blocking his view". That about sums up the Gigantour crows last year: Not very enthusiastic, and very fucking smug...which is too bad because Mustaine deserves better, not to mention Nevermore put on a great show as always. I think Mustaine should pick one or two great bands and have them open on a massive Megadeth tour...it makes more sense and I'd be surprised if it didnt draw bigger crowds.

Damn, that's downright disappointing! I hate crowds like that. stare and sit- stare and stand. Like they don't even know who's playing.

Because it's the cool thing to do and the douche was obviously just a metal poser.

There is just way too much of that kind of shit that goes on, not only at concerts but at sporting events as well. If I go to a baseball game and something happens that I get excited about, I should be able to jump up and make all the damn noise I want to.
