Input! Need more input!

Has anyone seen/tried the Logitech Navigator input device? I'm wondering if it would be more handy or less handy for DAW use than Kensie's fuck off trackball w/scroll ring.

Also considering some combination of mouse, touchpad, tablet.

That navigator looks cool but I was having a hard time connecting how it could be usefull in a daw situation.

I imagine using the lower ring's cw/ccw twist motion and u/d/l/r joystick motion to adjust the number of tracks being displayed at once and navigate through them, and use the upper ring's scroll motion to adjust the amount of track time being displayed. Depends on whether it can be set up like that from scratch, or if it's limited to the program-specific functions Logitech /Microsoft decided on.
