As you all know Opeth did some songs for BBC Live and I posted "Soldiers of fortune" a while ago.

The latest show was a scandinavian special and the first program focused on the Swedish scene.

Here`s a link to the show.

As you can see Opeth performed "The Grand Conjuration" and "When" this time plus an interview with Mike.

I will upload them here in Mp3 format. I have divided them into 3 parts.

Part 1: Interview with Mike (6mb)

Rock on :Spin:

Man, Mike's cleans at the end of When are even more powerful now than they were back then, pity the fucking song cuts off 30 seconds before the end, I mean wtf

WOW! MAYH would have been much better with Mendez on the bass. Sorry Mikael. This version owns with the killer bass lines. Drummings better too.

Yeah.. i noticed the bass in "When"...4:32-4:35 <---cooler than Elvis hair

Great stuff! Thanks Deadlift.

Everyone sounded awesome....except When is SO FUCKING SLOW. I hate how Axe drops the tempo on every fucking song. It really just sucks the energy right out.

I don't really think that it's him dropping the tempo. As far back as i can remember live songs have been played slightly slower. I don't think its fair to blame it on axe.. i mean the guy is a professional death metal drummer, im sure hes completely capable of ripping through when.
