Into Eternity's newest being mixed by Andy

Awesome!! I thought their last disc had horrid production. I really don't like the guitar tones on there. I'm sure Andy will work his magic on this.

Yeah..the guitar tone bothered me a little bit too. Great otherwise.

Awesome! I know the singer, cool guy.

Got to watch his old band record in the studio though it was never completed because he joined IE which provided some scheduling conflicts and the engineer was a little flakey I hear. Hopefully they'll finish that up, it's been almost 2 years... Omega Crom had some killer tunes.

Their last record was awfull, talking about production of course, but they have great songs.

I´ve seen these guys in the mighty Monterrey Metal Fest in Mexico, easy going dudes as well Jag panzer.

I really like the production/mixing on Buried In Oblivion. I love the raw sound they have on it. Not sure how much I'm gonna dig the Sneapsters mixing on the new album. Should be good as long as he keeps it more organic :).

organic? you want a free potato with it or what?

Ya know, I wouldn't turn it down.

[edit: I had a long post that I was gonna post, but I I decided to be a retard and close the tab in Opera :(. Either way, I was going to say that I belive IE benefits from having more of a congealed mix and not so much of what of Andy delivers. I love the more dirty/raw/ruff mixes with prog metal bands. It seems to fit, but that just my personal preferance. I'm sure whatever Andy's does with the band is gonna sound good, but Andy please don't sound replace the whole drumkit ;).

Makes me think of the time I played bass in this gay metalband to help them out for a couple of gigs. We were promised a huge gig in Germany together with IE so we drove there together from The Netherlands. So we arrived after 6 hours of driving, set everything up and got ready to play... there were about 15 people there watching hahaha.

Anyways, great guys! They just had their first CD out if I remember correctly. I'm curious what Andy will make of the new one!

Yep, I have to agree with Conspiracy Bass - I too like the production on IE - although I had to get used to it. But it suits the music and makes the band stand even more apart from other bands who just throw in the ordinary production-template that we're all used to hearing. I'm pretty sure though that Andy will do a great job and I'm looking forward to hearing the end result - Into Eternity is a fantastic band, no matter how the production is!!!!

Oh jesus christ... wtf is with "oh please Andy, dont do XXXXX to this album"?

If the band didnt want to sound -better- they wouldnt have gotten Andy to do it. Pay attention.

Suprised no ones said anything about this cd since its "out there".....::cough::.....

Anyway, I've probably listened to it about 4 times, and well, its kinda boring. Not too sure about the new singer either. Just cause you can sing higher than the devil allowed, doesn't mean you should. In my opinion, it doesn't fit the band at all.

"Begins this timeless winTAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

haha.

Good job on the mix though Andy. Glad to hear you use a different kick sample

I listened to it a couple times yesterday... It's all right, I think I like the previous material a little more but maybe time will change that.
Mix sounded pretty good though.

I expected lot of screams on the album though since I know somewhat the singer and used to hang out with members of his previous band and there was lots and lots of it. They reunited for a couple shows last year when he was in town after touring and did a pretty sweet King Diamond cover of Welcome Home. :headbang:

This cd needs more Boston inspired 5 part harmonies! I think thats whats really missing. Hahaha.

I'm listening to 'Buried Into Oblivion' right now and its almost head and shoulders above this new disc. ..:sigh:.. I blame the mix (haha).
