Into The Frost Of Winter...

I was listening to Into The Frost Of Winter just now, and even though the recording quality is atrocious, underneath the noise, there seems to be a really awesome song going on there. The intro is specifically evil-sounding. I know there are few riffs from other songs like Advent and stuff, but i just think it would be awesome if they would re-record this song with actual GOOD production and with the Martins and Per. Does anyone else agree?

I think that era of Opeth is finished now. Doubt they'd expend energy re-recording an old rehearsal demo when they could be focusing on making more mature tracks.

I always qute liked the demo songs, its just so interesting.
It would be cool to hear re-recorded versions of them, but
it probably won't happen and I wouldn't lose sleep over it,
but the idea is good.

Yeah, it's a cool song, but it doesn't really match up to the rest of Orchid and Morningrise, bad production or not.

i dono i dont see whats so worse about it except for the production. That intro section seems more evil to me than anything off of orchid or morningrise. Oh well i gess its just me.

I get your point in some part, but the music, the actual composition, is a bit weak. The music doesn't really go anywhere. And, again, it's just too repetitive for my taste! Yes, it's a matter of taste, I think...
