does anyone know why bodom didnt have any intro's to any songs on aydy, i thought some of the previous intros were pretty cool, i was just watching platoon thats what made me think of this

Cos they thought ''Hey, let's change our awesome style, and switch to a more commercial ''heavier'' type of album, that n00bs and poseurs and slipknot fans will like''

It's all about teh money

It's true.

I know someone that listens to to Children of Bodom...and Trivium, Killswitch, and some ghey emo bands, and all the songs she knows by Bodom are off AYDY.

ME: "Hey dya like Warheart, Downfall and Follow the Reaper?"
THEM: "What's that...?"

well look.
drinking costs money. making a commercial album gives money. making a good album costs time. drinking costs time, so why not:
drink, make a commercial album, get money, get time? :D

+1 to max's and warhearts replies

COB songs with intros that can be lengthened on stage:

Bed of Razors
Downfall
Mask of Sanity
Chokehold
Angels Don't Kill

They're not that many. I'm just not sure what exactly you mean with intros. Many of their songs have intros, like Living Dead Beat, In Your Face..

no, he means intros like the one of follow the reaper or taste of my scythe...the spoken ones

Deadnight Warrior
The Nail

Towards Dead End

Warheart
Black Widow

Follow the Reaper +/ Bodom After Midnight
Taste of My Scythe

Sixpounder
Bodom Beach Terror / Angels Don't Kill

You could only have a movie sample intro before AYDY & T,L&S

fucking right.

Bands fucking change, they want to try new things. It pisses me off when people instantly go "0mg they sold out for money Metallic0r!"

Is it not possible that bands change because they want to try somthing new?

They probably didn't do the voice intros on the new album because they didn't bother. They didn't think it was important, and it was such a small detail they didn't think pissy little kids would be complaining and calling them sellouts for leaving out a few movie quotes.

Even if Alexi had wanted to make a heavier sound, more "like slipknot", it would probably be because he likes bands like slipknot. :O news flash retard, when you like a certain band it influences your style. Dimebag Darrel liked Slipknot (correct me if I'm wrong). Listen to Cowboys from Hell, then listen to Damageplan's Breathing new life. Differen't style, more "commercial" but you dont see people getting all fucking pissy over it.

When you make comments, try to be intelligent about them, instead of being funny and cool to impress your internet buddies! Try to not be so fucking stupid next time.

:Ahem:

yeah, they do those voice intros on stage, they did some Big Lebowski stuff when last saw them :p

I agree. I like AYDY and i like the previous albums too! Ive been listening to cob since the FTR album. Children of Bodom own:headbang:

And i totally agree with CliffBurton. Their music can't remain stagnat or else they would die. I will not add more words because what i wanted to say was aptly said by CliffBurton, but i'll just add this phrase: everybody's a critic and then again, who cares? I dont. I like cob and its irrelevant what you think of them. If you dont like them, dont listen to them.

I don't think that's what people's problem is. I think they just don't want to admit that they actually enjoyed it just because the style changed and they're so used to the older style they can't accept the album for what it is.

+1 tbh. Seen it too many times: "I hate AYDY but umm... I listen to it a lot..."

I like some songs on AYDY, living dead beat is awesome for example
And I still have respect for COB and OMFGAL3xI....but let's be honest, we all know that cob's older style was way better.

And cliffburton is a dick, he only disagrees with what I say because he doesn't like me, If i had another opinion he wud still flame me cos hes a retard with no friends + no life
