I was able to get 4 Orchestra seats from the pre-sale. Anyone else get tickets?

Us southern californians are pretty damn lucky to be able to see them since there are only a few USA tour dates. I can't wait!

Not yet. My IMFC renewal paperwork got done in time but I didn't register for the online club until now and that's a prerequisite for getting advance access tickets. I had to e-mail the webmaster to be activated so now I have to wait up to 48 hours before I can get tickets. I'm so mad at myself. I'll be happy to just get decent tickets and not pay a fortune from a broker.

Not sure if this will help, but the website says to send an email to this address to help any problems with your order (If you are a member). Might be worth a try.

woohoo.

Less than 10 dates in the U.S. and they completely ignore everyone except the East/West coasts...AGAIN....thanks guys.

I just got activated . I got orchestra 3 seats! This is cool ~ the first time I didn't have to buy Maiden tix through a broker.

Well Wanda, your tips are coming in handy for me. My FC membership expired a few years ago and I lost the renewal paperwork and number. Seeing you all scoring on excellent seats forced me to renew my membership. I want ORCHESTRA SEATS! (PIT would be better, but I'll take ORCH!). So, now I just sit here waiting for the IMOC admin to activate me.

Can I be dumb and ask what the hell orchestra seats are??? And do you guys not like being on the floor for shows? I've done seats for one show in my life and NEVER again!!

Orchestra is a section in the venue. See here: http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/73757/1242

Where it says "Lawn" is a grassy area beyond the seats. I like floor as well, The Iron Maidens have that EVERY time!

Well, I got my IMOC activated! Wew, that was fast!!! So, I bought four tix to the show (haven't even asked my friends yet!....buy now, find takers later!). I didn't get Orchestra, but I got second row of Section 7 Loge. That should be good.

I have not joined the IMOC, money needs to go elsewhere (namely my new house and house improvements)... So I'll be buying my tickets on the 11th (Hopefully there'll be something there for me). But the question no one has asked... How much are the tickets????

Ahhh, I see - so basically the best seats in the house. What size is the pit area, quite small?? At our venue's it's mostly standing and the seats and usually round the sides and back, miles away from the stage.

For example, this is the hall Maiden will be playing in Glasgow. The whole blue seats area is the pit.

I can't remember being able to get Maiden tickets for an open standing area (other than lawn seats in the very back) ever. Anything good has always been seated and numbered. Nowadays, it seems the best seats go to the highest bidders or to people with connections. You can't even wake up early anymore to go stand in line for good tickets the day they go on sale: most places want to discourage people from doing that so once there are 10 people in line, everyone gets a number and then numbers are randomly drawn to determine order. So, even if you were originally first in line, you could end up last in line. It really kind of sucks and makes it so you pretty much have to go through a broker to get guaranteed good seats. At least this time we were able to get advance access tickets through Maiden so that was cool. Thanks Maiden!

Actually, I saw Maiden play in San Bernadino on the Somewhere In Time tour, the same place you Iron Ladies played for that all day metal fest (forgot the name) about 6 months(?) ago. No seating there, just a big ass barn!

Also note to Metallicat, the big venues that Maiden plays at in Southern California are similar to the pic you showed for Glasgow, but for us they always seem to put the chairs on the floor. Irvine Meadows is different in that it is an outside venue on a hill which makes it great since it stays cool and due to it's slope, you usually don't have some tall fucker blocking your view. No flat standing areas, except the pit! That is a cool place. I've snuck down there a few times, both for Maiden of course.

I remember the standing in line days...years ago. People camping out overnight. Don't miss that. But, you're absolutely right about getting the good seats....you have to know somebody nowdays (or pay big bucks!). Although I didn't get front row, I feel Maiden gave me a chance at good seats with the presale option without getting raped! Thanks Maiden!!!

Looks like a little typo there Wanda. Allow me to correct,:loco: "broker" is spelled "scalper". They just have a license from the state to do the same thing somebody on the street would get arrested for.

Last time I saw Maiden was the Seventh Son tour. Had to pay some licensed scalper $80 just to get a crap seat in the echo chamber called of the San Diego sports arena. I could see Bruce in front of me but I heard him on the right.

Man, that sucks totally!!!! If you're first in line you should get first dibs on tickets. As for touts, I hate those bastards - always out to make a quick buck. Glad everyone's been able to get good seats for the right price this time!! :headbang:

So how big is the actual pit then? I don't understand that really, if they tried putting chairs down for a Maiden gig over here - they would end up getting totally wrecked and chucked about.
