Is Australia a Island or a Continent?

I gotta admit, that when it comes to social issues (and ignoring our almost criminal immigrant policies for the moment), Finland and Sweden and those other Nordic countries have it in spades over Australia. We can, however, beat them in Cricket.

But compared to most other countries, including the "developed" countries such as America and England, I reckon we've got it pretty good. And we can beat them in Cricket as well.

I'll definitely agree on the education and arts policies in Finland and Sweden, Penelope! That's one thing that's glaringly missing from Australia, I think...

I can tell you now that not having any assistance from the government has made things fucking hard for us all in Dungeon over the last decade. And I think if people really looked at what a professional musician did, they'd realise we're not all sitting on our asses drinking beer and smoking pot all day, it's really a full-time job.... but sadly one which doesn't pay for shit until you're signed to a major label and in $500,000 debt to them for it! Pretty sad!

I hear you Lord Tim, and it's probably harder being in Australia because we're so far from Europe. That would be why not too many decent metal acts get here, and even less get to WA. But then I guess that could be because WA is not part of the 'proper Australia'

John Howard pretends to like sport. When has he ever shown real insight into cricket or rugby? Political opportunism at its worst, but that's just typical of the man.

Just because there aren't many decent world leaders around doesn't mean that John Howard isn't absolutely fucking pathetic. I can seriously say that if he died I would be out on the piss celebrating. Waste of space.

Actually, Dungeon's been wanting to play WA for a long time now and we were even offered some shows about a year ago, but the sad fact is that it's actually more expensive to tour to Perth than it is to Japan!

In Japan, we know we'd make our money back even though it may cost more initially to get there, but with Perth or anywhere in WA for that matter, we'd be down $2000 at the very least before we stepped foot onto a tour bus or flight.

It's relatively cheap to do Sydney -> Melbourne and there's a guaranteed crowd there, which is why most bands that come here only play those 2 cities. Kinda fucked, but that's the reality of it all, sadly...

Oi Spiffo, supporting St George is his only good point! If he really supported them anyway......with that silver spoon upbringing of his he'd probably have no idea where Kogarah was.

How about going to Perth after your next Japan visit? You could go to Nippon, then nip on across to WA on the way back.
