Is Frank Bello still in Helmet?

I thing that Paige Hamilton had a very big problem with Anthrax. I saw an interview with Helmet and they asked about Frank and he went off about how Frank was mistreated and pretty much the whole thing of it was "Fuck Anthrax, he's mine now" sort of tone.

So I would imagine that;

A. Frank was not having that. Sure he left Anthrax because he needed space, but, Anthrax are his brothers and I'm sure he cares dearly for all those guys. I doubt he liked all Paige's shit talking.

B. Paige got offended at the Reunion idea. He had initialy told Frank he would like to have him on the next CD - but that was when Frank was right there. I'm sure once Frank's back was turned Paige said "all right now lets go find a new bass player."

mmmm word to you. I'm sure Helmet will slip back in to obscurity where they came from. No offense to the band in general.

I know what you mean. I saw that when Helmet was on Headgiver's Ball.

Paige was like "It's time for us to play some real music". I took that as a diss when i saw it.

Helmet is "ok" at best in my book - but Paige always came off as a twat to me.

p.s. the word "twat" is coming back. I'm gonna make sure of it.

Uhhhhh... name one band that didn't start in obscurity

I think you missed my point. I'm saying maybe they will slip out of the public's eye. again. And maybe this time they won't come back.

But, if you really want me to name 1 band that didn't start out in obscurity (even though I at no point said that some band didn't) then I will, because I always aim to please people. Here it goes::

Spinal Tap.

Merry Christmas to all.

hahahahahaha! touché!!!!

Consider me pleased!

(I was just busting balls anyway)

I was kinda shocked to hear Frankie even joined Helmet. Helmet has some good songs, but were at the beginning of their career, considered alternative, now they are considered "hardcore." Paige is a gifter muscian and very talented in jazz guitar playing (not to mention that is what he went to college for). I do agree that Helmet are "ok." after a few listens I have had enough for a while.

Spinal Tap is awesome.

"Stonehenge was in danger of being trampled by a midget!"

Helmet is one of the best bands of the 90's hands down. They are one of the biggest music influences to many post grunge metal bands. They were fucking amazing back in the day. Meantime and Betty are fucking classics. Size Matters is total garbage. But I didn't expect much from it in the first place.

Their influence is undeniable in 90's and 00's metal
Dropped D, Stop- start riff anyone?

You know, I never noticed it before....... As much as I like to listen to their frist 2 albums, maybe if I went back in time and talked Paige into doing a jazz quartet type of thang, there would be no Nu-Metal!??
