lots of rumors abound about this, that it will finally happen ... can't say I am not intrigued, looking forward to it more, then the next Metallica release, if there is a comparison ...

The New York Post's Page Six reports in its February 12, 2006 edition:

Stereo nightclub owners Barry Mullineaux and Mike Satsky were closing up their Chelsea hotspot at 5:30 a.m. the other morning when they encountered elusive GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose at the front door. The braided rocker was with bandmates and a bevy of beauties wanting to keep his 44th birthday bash going. Rose was so eager to get inside the club that he offered the owners a little bribe — an exclusive listening party for his yet-to-be released album, "Chinese Democracy". Axl dispatched his driver to retrieve the unreleased CD and the owners proceeded to play host, bartender and DJ to the posse till 8 a.m.

Love the old albums - but it's been 15 stinking years since a new GNR studio album came out. Plus, I was at the last show GNR was supposed to play in Philly that Axl simply failed to show up for causing a near riot.

Don't Care.

i am willing to bet ... if and when this will be released ... this disc will be huge ... I don't know why ... just a gut feeling.

I don;t know, I can't imagine it being any worse than Velvet Revolver and that did real well ...

You get nothin' for nothin'
if that's what you do
Turn around bitch
I got a use for you
Besides, you ain't got nothin' better to do!
and I'm BORED...

Isn't Axl still on his electronica kick? At least VR came out and rocked. Granted, they were just barely above average, but I respected them for doing what they know how to do.

there was some strange nws on BM the other day ... from the Ross halfin site ... you know... the photographer ... about somthing going down this summer in the UK with the original gnr lineup ... and how Halfin is preparing for it ...

also there were some straight up Axl's ass kissing story coming from Slash ...

something might be a brewing

this is the story from BM ... but since removed from his site.

Will GUNS N' ROSES's classic lineup and METALLICA perform at this year's Download Festival? Legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin seems to think so. According to a February 3, 2006 posting on Halfin's official web site, "the original lineup [of GUNS N' ROSES] is supposed to play Download in June with their metal chums, METALLICA, if Lars [Ulrich, METALLICA drummer] can be bothered to turn up." (UPDATE: Halfin has since removed the posting from his site.)
