Is my recorddevise broken?

I was lucky enough toHello there fellow musicans. find a Korg D8 (a portable digital recorder) but I have a problem. You see, it's used and when I record things it makes a ticking sound when the HDD lamp blinks (it blinks the whole time when it is working). And I am just wondering if something is broken inside it or if it's normal.

I tried some research and I can't really say, but is there an option for a "click" track or synchro track on that recorder? I know click tracks make a "noise". Hopefully, someone here has specific experience with that recorder.

Uh... Sounds like hard disk noises to me... Which is normal on a hard disk recording device
