Is Opeth Your Favourite Band?

Sadly my world would be nothing without Opeth, they've defined a large part of my thinking.

Opeth for sure is my favorite band. But there are many others that are up there you know. Like Katatonia, Tool, Metallica, In Flames, Black Sabbath, Pantera... so many .... so so many....

Tis weird, I don't really listen to Opeth much despite worshipping them and having all their seedies. When I listen to 'em I do tend to think they're among the best bands in the world.....so......they're kinda covertly among my favourites. One of the sort of permanent fixtures that will always be up there regardless of what i'm listening to, along with bands like Soilwork, MuDvAyNe......actually, I think those are the only 3 bands that have made that particular shortlist...

Not really. Actually, I doubt they'd make my top 10. I'd say my favorite band right now is probably Maudlin of the Well. It used to be Anathema, but I wore their cds out beyond belief. Also, dredg, At the Drive-In, and Ulver are very damn close to being my favorites, far more than Opeth.
