I didn't say anyone kicked him out. Besides, you're proving my point - WD doesnt know, according to you, what the situation is, therefore someone, WD or another band member, should SAY THAT THEY DON'T KNOW considering it's been two years almost, instead of saying nothing. And Steve doesn't return phone calls or emails? Maybe to you he doesn't, but how do you know he hasn't been talking to anyone in Nevermore. Maybe he has, maybe he hasnt.....I sure as hell don't know whats happened in the past few months.

The ONLY thing that ANYONE knows is that there's an absolute lack of information and an obvious intent to keep it that way. The reason for that, NO ONE KNOWS aside from Steve and maybe the band. The fact is that all we can do is wait. Does it suck? You bet your ass it does. Can we wait impatiently, speculate as to why this is the way it is with all kinds of different theories flying around? Of fucking course we can and it should be expected when some "need to know basis" shit is going on. What was sown, in those regards, is now being reaped.
Anyone can speculate as to what's going on and there isn't shit you can do to prove it wrong or right. But, I'm not going to claim anything as true or false until I hear it from the horse's mouth. None of us have a choice but to do that.

i agree with the above. also- and this is me asking a question, perhaps there is some legal, contractual agreement that doesnt permit the band members to publically make any sort of statement about another member's status or departure or something? who knows. but kellan is right - there is obviously a reason why we havent heard anything.

What I don't get is why they play in such a small club.
They could play in much bigger clubs.
Still, a lot of rock and metalheads do not know Nevermore.
Unbelievable.
Since I listened to them 2 years ago, I ordered the last 5 cd's and went last year to their gig in Belgium, Vosselaer.
It was great...
And that is why I go again tomorrow...

But they deserve a lot more...

My thoughts. I just woke up so i'm not going to even try to make paragraphs.

- I remember my Doctor telling me not too long ago that whenever you get a donor organ, you have to make big lifestyle changes for well.... life. She told me you have to take certain medications to ensure the chances that your body doesn't reject the foreign organ. She told me you have to take these meds until the day you die.

- My nephew had cancer in one of his kidneys at about a month old. When he got the kidney removed, I remember being told he'd have to avoid strenous activities for life. I believe that's what I was told, it was over 5 years ago. If that's true, touring could be considered strenous and tough.

- Maybe he's in financial trouble? Major surgery, expensive medications before and after the surgery, dialysis for months before any surgery, medications to supress your immune system to decrease the chances of your body rejecting the kidney, etc. I know if I was broke as a joke I would be hesitant at telling anyone. Also, when you're in financial peril, I'd believe the last thing you can do is saying "Well, i'm gonna be in europe with my band for 2-3 months!"

Just some things to think about. Not defending the guy, just bringing in some thoughts.

Don't get me wrong, I want Steve in Nevermore. He wrote 3 of the best songs on the record. Bittersweet feast, Sell my heart for stones, and a future uncertain(did steve write that one too) are 3 of the best songs on the record.

With the exception of 2 songs(sentient 6 and the title track), Steve outperformed Jeff in songwriting on that album imo.
