Is this a normal amount of hum from a Duncan JB pickup?

Hi, hoping someone can tell me if this seems normal or if should just cut my losses and ask for my money back. Bought this pup brand new last week, installed it myself, noticde it was humming SIGNIFICANTLY more than I would expect especially when compared to the other passive EMG in the neck position.

Took it in to the shop where I bought the pup, explained the situation they "fixed" it, but of course the hum is still there.

I wanted to you this guitar for some serious tracking and I feel like I'm going to hear this too much in the mix:

First section is the non-humming neck pickup, second passage is the JB.

Meh, just edit out any pauses where you might here it.

Sounds about like any of my JB equipped guitars. The JB in general seems a tad noisier than some of the other Duncan pickups to me, but not to the point of really being a problem.

Like Bryan said, just edit out the noise on the silent parts.

Thanks guys- yea I swapped the JB with a Dimarzio Super Distortion and the hum was reduced significantly (not really audible).

I guess the JB is just a little noisier.
