Sorry, don't know if this is "production" question or an "equipment" question, but here goes, I'm getting this loud hum/buzz/static sound when I use my GuitarPort.

My question is is thIS amount of noise normal/to be expected, or is something wrong either w/ my hardware/software or gear?
I tried out two different guitars and got the same amount of hum/buzz. Tried different guitar cables, USB cables, USB ports, turning off all electrical appliances, etc, and got the same amount as well. Also, the higher I play up the fretboard the more noticeable to sound becomes.
I've tried using a noise gate, but the problem still persists even when one is used, although the severity of the hum/buzz is slightly decreased.
If this problem is guitar related, what would be the likely source? If,on the other hand, it's PC related, what might me the likely cause of it?
