ITT: We discuss the best new TV show...

I haven't seen it Zod, but I will admit that I FUCKING LOATHE Matthew Perry. Talk about lucking-out. Dude is ugly and has a one-dimensional approach to humor - it's the same in anything he's ever been in.
Amanda Peet, however, sure is purty.
Dunno about any other new show - there's so many of them it seems. I don't really watch too much tv. I think I might start watching LOST - gotta get my hands on the last two seasons first.

Lost is the only tv show I actually tune in for.

Deadwood/24 are the only two shows I watch on DVD. With the latter becoming downright laughable as of late. I'm thinking about taking up the Sopranos eventually.

yeah man id never watch a tv show with an ugly dude

 Yea, that was a WTF comment Dorian.

I prefer not to.

Here's the reasons: A) people are famous for two reasons - looks and talent. You have to have looks to get your foot in the door in the first place. So, when someone who is not funny AND not good-looking, it irks me to think they are making millions and millions of dollars and B) if you think you are not affected by the looks of someone of the same sex, you are fooling yourself. It doesn't make you a homosexual, it just means that humans like to look at symmetrical patterns.

personally it irks me more THAT someone is making millions of dollars because they are "good looking" (whatever that is supposed to mean)
haha, well yeah I'm with you there

yeah, you LOST crazed mofos have me curious. ill prolly rent all the seasons sooner or later.

only shows i religiously watch are Rescue Me and Grey's Anatomy.

and i fully admit to watching the Biggest Loser. something about watching obese people have to run and kill themselves physically appeals to my demented nature

symmetrical

¿que?
It's been well-documented by psychologists that people we find attractive have a high degree of symmetry in their face. IIrc, Denzel Washington has an extremely high degree of symmetry to his face and women love him. Humans are pattern-seeking animals. Makes sense to me.

I've seen maybe an episode or two of Grey's Anatomy in the background. I don't understand the appeal. I also think Sandra Oh and that other blonde chick are two of the ugliest women I've ever seen. I can't fucking stand them. I hope they enjoy their 15 minutes.

First of all, you admit to watching it as a background show, which means you're doing something else and not really paying attention. Second, I dont watch shows based on good looking characters.

If anything, I abhor shows where every fucking Joe-schmo looks like a goddamn model. Hello???? The world has a whole lot more ugly people in it than beautiful people.

ya i'm sure that's true but most people's faces are symmetrical to some degree including many with otherwise repulsive looks
I'm just quoting the study. I didn't conduct it myself. All I was saying is that I'd rather look at an attractive man than one that isn't and I claimed that you guys who think I'm crazy need to realize you do the same thing, perhaps unconsciously.

sure as hell does. That's why I need to watch stuff with beautiful people in it.
btw, isn't Grey's Anatomy based on "good-looking" characters? Isn't Patrick Dempsey's character "Dr. Dreamy" or something? Those other two chicks are considered attractive for some reason. So, yeah, you ARE watching a show based around the attractiveness of the actors (although reality will come crashing down soon for most of them)

what is it about Zod?

what's that show with Ray Liotta? that one looks good ...

and the new season of The Office is a pisser ... the first episode where he outed a gay employee by accident ...

ah yes, the Office. It's pretty much the only show I plan to watch.
"I thought you were gay in high school."
"Bwahahahahahhhahahahahhahahahhahahahaha.....................that's a compliment." favorite line of the show so far
