Here are the ones that can't be contested:

Summoning
Woods of Ypres (yeah they only have 2 albums)
Bloodbath (only 2 albums, I know)
Akercocke
Falkenbach
Destroyer 666
Bolt Thrower
Nevermore (let's say DHiaDW isn't a bad album)
The Forsaken
Immortal (it'S not like they'll have the chance of releasing new stuff anyway)
Atheist (I cross my fingers for a reunion)
Symphony X
Primordial

For starters, things to scratch off from that list:

Woods of Ypres (pursuit of the sun and allure of the earth)
Bloodbath (nightmares made flesh)

Nightmares Made Flesh is pretty fucking good IMO.

And Pursuit of the sun and Allure of the Earth, I must admit I didn't completely listen to it, but from what I heard it's less entertaining than Against Seasons, but still not a bad album.

Edit: I think the important here is to make the difference between a bad album and an album that is just slightly less good than the rest of the band's catalogue.

It's all a matter of opinion...it's like debating the best band.

What's so bad about DHiaDW, anyway?...well besides the Sounds of Silence...I'd like to hear a true Nevermore fans opinion of that. I think it's pretty good.

well ya know, this thread could be useful to someone who wants to discover new bands and doesn't know which album to buy first.

Pain of Salvation
Nevermore
Agalloch
Gorillaz
Handsome Boy Modeling School
Iron and Wine
Sigus Ros
The Shins
Pelican
Jaga Jazzist
Kayo Dot
Boards of Canada
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
Possibly Kate Bush

Sadly, a lot of my favorites have released bad albums, and most of them that haven't have only released two albums anyway. :( And since the title of the thread suggested it, I only named bands that are still releasing music now.

Why would DHIADW be the bad album over enemes of reality ?.

Anyways...

Bands that have not released bad albums regardless if there latest release is not as good as previous albums or whatever.

Opeth
Immolation
Incantation
Sacramentum
Necrophobic
Cathedral
Bloodbath
Deceased
Gorguts

DHiADW is a MUCH worse album than enemies. Deadheat explores some pretty bland and boring riffs/themes...meanwhile enemies is an all out shredding assault combined with some very kick-arse lyricism.

nah dead heart is better than enemies. i like the sos cover. its nothing great but i certainly dont think its a BAD song. there is a cool , heavy riffing section after the brutal intro. like i said in the other thread, and its only my opinion, but enemies has two really filler songs on it and only 4 great songs. dead heart has about 6 truly great songs and some good, maybe one filler.

it's really up to personal preference anyway, so it isnt a big deal.

I love Enemies(remix)...I like Dead Heart...I love the first 3 tracks of TGE, the rest falls kinda flat...IMO. of course. I want to try POE or DNB next...I'm trying to decide.

^ you cant get into the songs psalm of lydia or this godless endeavor or sell my heart for stones? IMO those are really strong, powerful songs.

just download some stuff both poe and dnb and see what you like.

Nope...can't warm up to the rest...it's not for a lack of trying.

I hate downloading partials...then I end up paying more for the album. Wah...what a baby!

Pain of Salvation
Nevermore
Agalloch (same three as someone else)
Emperor
Morbid Angel

There are too many bands I haven't heard all of their albums.

Another chance to get stuff thrown at me!

I contest the following:

Woods of Ypres (Pursuit of the Sun...)
Bloodbath (Nightmares... and maybe RtC)
Falkenbach (Have you even heard Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty?)
Nevermore (let's say DHiaDW isn't a bad album Sorry, but it is :p)

I'll try my hand.

Agalloch
Burzum (dependent on if you like the ambient works or not, which I do)
Current 93
Empyrium
Enslaved
Eucharist
Hammers of Misfortune
In The Woods...
Isis
Loits
Morgion
Mournful Congregation
Negurã Bunget
Old Man Gloom
Primordial
Sólstafir

I decided I'd omit bands that currently only have one album, since that's kind of an unfair basis of comparison.

EDIT: it's also easier when bands are dead and have only left two albums, like Eucharist. But it's damn impressive when it's a band like Primordial who already have 5 or more albums and are still going strong at the top of their game.
