I'm pretty sure they don't read this forum... in fact I've read interviews where they say how much they hate forums... haha, and it's pronounced "Ya-neh"... I heard Alexi introduce him once on some video.

Janne is actually a member on this forum, don't know if he has been that active lately though, and yeah, you pronounce it Janne, as simple as that.

I love wikipedia. It has short summaries on any band. I also got info on the differences on genres. But the place i go to learn every little detail about a band is rockdetecter.

Even though you think you're cool when you don't like Alexi and that in general Alexi is probably somewhat overrated, Alexi still writes most of the COB material and the band wouldn't be a shit without him.

These guy do not get enough credit for there excellent work in the recording of the Children of bodom albums, a round of applause for all them and there excellent musical skill and talent.

P.S Newbies (yes you): Even tho Alexi is a Talented Guitar he is not the back bone of Children of bodom, its a team effort and Alexi can not do it on his own.

I didn't really respond to him only based on this thread but based on his and everyone else's previous posts on this messageboard. I admit I was too blunt if you only look at this thread but I also had an arguably valid point.

Some more provocation: Other COB members are great guys, hard-working and have surely contributed their parts for the band's success but all that work would've been more or less in vain without Alexi's compositions. I think many new bands pay too much attention on smaller details when the main thing is that to be succesful you pretty much only need good songs.

I have a good question - How the hell do you say their names?
I've heard Alexi say Janne "Ya-nay" - I used to call him "Jan"!
Got me wondering if anyone else's name may be that way.
So, how do you say:
Jaska Raatikainen ...I don't even know where to start on that one.

I'v listened to Sinergy but I'v never bought an album myself. I don't think it's worth it. I really can't get used to Kim's vocals. The first thing i judge an album by is it's vocals. If vocals suck, i probably won't get it. But still, i listen to some bands with sucky vocals to see how the guitaring and stuff is and most of the time, it's excellent. If Roope does solos, then does Alexi do rythm guitars or does he do solos too? How is Roope's guitaring. From all the things i'v read, he seems like a great guitarist.
