Good early sounding Black Metal. Evoke is the only album I have of theirs (though they have many) and I like it quite a bit.

havn't listened to many jap bands since i was really into thrash, but definitely sabbat, terror squad, and abigail.

the japanese metal scene is weird. nu metal is still huge there. but there is a decent extreme metal scene thats buried way underground. i used to know a couple good death/grind bands when i lived there. deadblood is the only band i can remember (cuz they were the only one on okinawa, where i was living). they are ok death metal. they are more entertaining live than on cd hehehe

All the major bands that I know of have been mentioned, though there are a few lesser Thrash bands that I know of, namely Barbatos, Cut Throat, Ritual Carnage, and Fastkill.

Sigh are black metal, sure its a bit quirky and a lot experimental but its still black metal.
