I never got very into Weather Report. Joe Zawinul used the most annoying keyboard sound ever. I much prefer Jaco's solo stuff.

yeah dude, they do. They are one of my all time favorites. Actually, I even got to see them live last year on their Reunion Tour. It was awesome.

I don't listen to much jazz, although I love what I hear on the radio, cuz there's a great station in Toronto. I'm into Holdsworth, Jimmy Rosenberg, Jaco Pastorius, Miles Davis and Herbie, but that's pretty much it...I like some latin jazz stuff too actually, like Buena Vista Social Club and Afro-Cuban All Stars.

'Heavy Weather' is really too pop/lite for me, honestly... albums such as 'Mysterious Traveller' have no Jaco, but do have a bit more meat for the fusion enthusiast..
