JB Hi-Fi Special Imports

I just went to JB Hi-Fi, and actually bought some CDs! One of them happened to be Vanishing Points "Embrace the Silence".

For those of you that don't realise, I think Vanishing Point are based about 20 kms from where I'm sitting right now.

It was marked "Special Import"! I could handle it if it was some weird Japanese underground band, but if they're Melbourne based it strikes me as ridiculous. Oh, I get that they're probably imported from Germany or something stupid like that, but still.

I reckon the same was on the LORD CD (or possible Dungeon) I bought.

Is it the Dockyard 1 version? Although I have a copy of Pain Division's album with the same sticker on it. If it was Riot stock, they probably just stickered them all without realising.

Well, it's got "Riot distributors" written on it, so I'm going to say it's the Riot version. I figure it's either an honest mistake, or they're just trying to make it look a little bit exotic.

It's probably a mistake, because Riot mostly do imports, so whomever was putting the stickers on just thought it was an import. Although, Riot imports Dockyard stuff, so the confusion is understandable.

I have it on good authority that JB are idiots when it comes to Riot releases, and it happens all the time.

JB also put the special import on CDs that they got in as special orders or aren't considered mainstream sellers.
