hey guys,

instead of selling my dsl 50, I thought give it one more chance with those impules around here. I'm trying to get a decent sound maybe you could share some ideas. http://www.hatchery-band.de/guitar tone test Rendered.wav

It's recorded single tracked like that: ESP viper (with emg 81) --> DSL 50 --> out of fx-send --> guitar toneport line in --> revalver methusalix power amp --> impulse (guitar hack's mesa between) --> inside DAW there's c4 with andys settings --> low cut at 70 and high cut at 12k --> compressed with g-compressor (the free on)

any hints would be appreciated. please nevermind the sloppy playing or the drums, it's just about the tone.

cheers :kickass:

edit: ok I updated the file above. now it's quad tracked with panning 100% left, 80% left, 80& right and 100% left
edit2: now the same with screamer in front: http://www.hatchery-band.de/guitar tone test2 Rendered screamer.wav

I am definitely not a marshall fan but I think you got the good side of the characteristic marshall tone in your clip. I like it :)

I'm also not such a big fan of marshalls but after giving it a last chance by doing some recordings with impulses I think of keeping it. Normally I use a ENGL Fireball

You clip is pretty cool. I had to get rid of mine...no where near as good as 5150 or Recto for the money.
