We usually go on between 11 and 12 midnight. Doors usually open anywhere between 7:30 and 9 depending on the number of bands playing. Be sure to check out SWAN's Led Zepagain playing before us. The show is fabulous. Hope you can make it and if so, be sure to register to win the FENDER at our merch booth. It's a beauty. MiniMurray just wrote a song on that thing...she can't keep her hands off it.

just curious, have you guys ever gone on stage 2 minutes to midnight?

We've attempted it several times, especially on New Years Eve! Unfortunately, most clubs don't know how to stick to a time schedule, and many bands in opening slots don't know when to stop playing and get their shit off stage in a timely manner :Smug: ....... I won't mention any names. Smylex, wanna throw in your 2 cents? hehehehehehe :heh:

Names are being with held to avoid embarrasing the offending parties involved.

My 2 cents is to put a provision in the contract that the headlining band management or their designated agent gets access to the house/stage lights and P.A. system and stage power. If the bands run long (and this is not inclusive of the band immediately before the headliner alone; this is for all bands on the bill) then their lights get turned off, the house lights come on and the P.A. system gets turned off and the house music starts playing. If the band continues to play, then their stage power gets cut. All bands that wish to be on the bill, headliner's management and the club management agree to this beforehand and if they can't or don't agree, then they don't get booked and or the band doesn't play at the club. Also, any band which does not start at their designated time will be considered to have already started and their time will be up until the time that they agreed on previously. Also, any bands that do not wish to have their gear thrown off the stage physically by an impatient road member of the headlining band agree to get their shit together and off the stage post haste. You can pack it outside; the next band is up soon.

Summary: You snooze, you lose. Make sure your gear is working beforehand; make sure you have all necessary equipment; make sure you're rehearsed and make sure that you have the ability to adapt to any changes which may come up. If you can't...FUCK YOU!

What I absolutely have NO tolerance for are those idiot drummers who take their time taking EACH cymbal off its stand and packing EACH drum into its case....on the f**kin STAGE! Take the sh*t out of the club and THEN take it apart and pack it! How f**kin difficult is that?

Drumslut you rule! See ya Sat? Or you gigging somewhere else that night with those awesome Red White and Blues!

I will try to make it. My friend's son is having his 16th birthday party Sat night. He plays drums in an original band, and they're playing at the Huntington Beach Library, with a surprise birthday party to follow. I haven't seen him play before and he's been playing drums for 2 years now I think. The party should be over by 9, though.
