Just a basic song question (Matricide)

Was there a particular event that caused the writing of this song? In 95 or so I didnt know who Nevermore was so this is all kinda new to me.

FYI, I started listening to them with DNB, but I own all of them now.

well my guess is the constant raping and fucking up of our planet prompted the writing. nothing specific, its been going on forever.
