Today I tried a little bit different approach.

I backed the gain a bit, to 12 o'clock. I also backed the volume on my bad monkey a quarter. The Left channel is the mesa recto std mic'd with a 57 and the right the cobra cab mic'd the same way. Both channels double tracked, with and without the boost.

The song feels like theres some reverb on the guitars, propably because I had both cabs plugged in while recording.

Do you still think I should back off the gain a bit?

Hey Salvation 13 do you like the Cobra in the mesa std?

For recording it's great, a real nice low end growl. But for live work I like my cobra cab better. (And the mesa is our other guitarist's anyway).

I really like the Cobra with the std Marshall cab, with gt 75, the sound is really tight!
