Just got my Mensa test back...

I considered it ten or so years ago. I tested around 145. A lot of brain cells have been weeded out since then, so I'm probably around an 80 now.

On another note, I'm pretty sure the overall level in this board in IQ test is over the average, because there are some bridges between the skills an IQ test embraces, and the audio production world.

I don't think it'll do much for you. Much more important to ace the job interviews and practical scenarios. You can be brilliant on paper, but when it really comes down to it, your personal presentation will do the trick.
I've had an IQ test done when I was younger because they thought I was retarded, but actually scored 135+. Turned out I was deaf, can't really answer questions in school if I can't hear them. Hearing, also very important for interviews. Most important though, big boobs and a nice ass.

I am pretty sure IQ tests are crap because everybody I know claims to be in the top 1%....pshyeah okay. I thought this Mensa thing seemed cool until I realized how pompous and silly it is...stupid smart people

Yeah, the high IQ/Mensa membership thing is kind of like a college degree - a lot of the dumbest people I have ever met have at least one, if not all three.

I don't know.. people in Mensa generally seems to be pretty damn intelligent(Ive met a few of them.).. but either they are fucking weird because they actually are handicapped, or they are all smug because they think they are so superior(And then they let their gene-pool die out because the lack of sex.).
I passed the mensa membership exam but couldn't really find enough benefit in joining to justify the cost.
The reason it seems like so many people claim to have high IQs is because there are lots of fake tests on the internet and in other places that give you no idea of your actual standardized score. To get an actual idea you need to take one of the standardized tests like the stanford exam.
I agree that IQ doesn't necessarily mean jack shit but thats not really relevant. Let the guy be proud for a moment for shit's sake.

haha yeah one of the best recordings I've ever heard was a pipe organ recorded by an engineer who wears two hearing aids. It was very very 3D sounding.
