John Tempesta from Helmet at the Rainbow last night. Both very down to earth and humble. They were very happy to be playing in a band together, since they were next-door neighbors and childhood friends that played in a band together before their other well known ones. Frankie asked about my band and said he wished to come to one of our shows with King's X, but would be on the road with Helmet. We also spoke about how the music business today is all about the business of music and not really about the music. Frank told me how important Fistful of Metal was to him and how he really pursued his singing after we worked together on I'm 18. He even told me Dan Spitz called him 2 weeks ago to jam onstage with McBrain Damage. Much success to Frank and John on their upcoming tour with Helmet and their brand new album on Interscope.
