Just heard two granades.

And the US seems to be really really tough on the boarder

not so much

maybe along areas where there's highways entering/exiting the country...but there's hundreds and hundreds of miles where one can simply walk right across. this is where the drugs come in and the guns go out, and has caused much political debate in this country the last few years.

The fucking sad part is that one country seems to be paying an immense price so others can snort some shit...that is fucked, surely the UN or whoever will not tolerate this.

Yes that is so true..

But it's much more than just one country, you know.. much more

Damn that is unreal. I could never imagine that ever happen in sweden.

Sad thing is that Sweden is part of the problem. You see, weapon companies like Bofor Carl Gustaf make huge guns and then what? Are they going to use it in Sweden? Of course not. Sell to Lybia, IRA? They don´t have money to such weapons. Now, who in the world got the money and use these weapons on a daily basis? And that´s how the killing machines of the world, made by rich countries, ends up here, killing poor people. Weapon traffic is tied with narcotraffic. Bofor knows that and Colt knows that. Guns bought with the same money that rich people paid to get high. So, in the end, every coke snort in Europe is a bullet in the head of someone in South America.

What is happening in Mexico is not a war, it is a situation, and I lived my whole life in this situation. For example, here in Brazil we had 48.374 "violent deaths" in one year. That´s like 133 per day, one person killed every 10 minutes. Today, what war in the world have this rate of killing?

I´m not saying that all the blood is on other countries hands. There is internal consumption and there is internal gun production, but that does not change the fact that the kid below is using an american Colt M16 with Granade Launcher bought with € and $.

This is one of the reasons I'd never buy a drug unless it was legal, It supports secret wars like this. I wish you luck brother.

I wouldn't really blame the "rich countries of the world" for this problem of guns. As long as there is an incentive for someone to steal or even legally buy weapons, and sell them to cartels or organized crime groups, then the problem will persist, but surely I would not blame "rich countries" for this.

Funny thing is, 90% of the guns you see in the hands of these guys are AK-47s, which have been manufactured in more countries than I can remember. Hell, there were Afghan tribes manufacturing them with no electricity!

So, many of these come from China, former Yugoslavia, Russia, etc.

Now, there are the few that are purchased legally in the USA and taken smuggled over the border and modified, but I'm willing to bet the majority come from South and Central America. Venezuela bought a shit ton of AK-47s from Russia if memory serves correct.

That´s what I meant with "I´m not saying that all the blood is on other countries hands. There is internal consumption and there is internal gun production." I mean it not on a "who´s the blame" way, but IT IS a huge part of the problem and it is an illusion to think it is not. It´s not "just a few" weapons by any stretch. HK 762, HK 9mm, P90, AK-47, AR-15, PT, G3, granades, nightvision... you name it, they have. These companies know who has the needs, the money and pays more for this kind of weapon, and has no shame in keep making them. If there were no gun factories making stuff like 700 rpm guns, the drug dealers wouldn´t stand a chance.

Just saying this because sometimes all this savagery seems to be so far away from our reality, when it is not. I doubt that any gun nuts that never had to deal with a real threat on his life but abominates gun control policy ever think about who is really getting screwed on this business.

Thanks for the wishes guys.

Tamaulipas is not that ok now (We also have chopped bodies :s), they even killed a virtual Governor, is well known that Chihuahua, Specially Juarez is another hotspot for this kind of stuff, but here in Tamaulipas the situation was kind of "Controlled" until some time ago, their fight is now about Power more than the drugs, it`s a large story, Basically, One cartel made an elite group of mercenaries for their dirty work, but this group got bigger and bigger with the years, and then they split with the cartel. now they are fighting each other.

This town was a really safe place, it was even so boring, now is a totally diferent shit. Carlos, i can relocate, but is kinda difficult cause my wife work and mine of course, i just can wait for this to calm down hehe, i hope.

The greatest manufacturers of the weapons used by south american narcotraffic are based in North America and Europe. They know their clients.

These weapons are not stolen, the cartels buy it, they have almost unlimited resources.

But that's how any market works.

I once saw a 16 years old girl lying on the sidewalk just in front a studio I worked with a 762 shot through her back, I still remember the damage that bullet caused.

The FAL 762 is built in Helstal, Belgium.

Edit: Just a personal opinion, demand on drugs will never end, the only way to prevent people getting killed because of it is to legalize every drug on the planet. Of course that's an opinion of someone who lives with violence on a daily basis on one of the most dangerous cities on the planet, I see that maybe someone from a normal city like Basel, Helsinki or Hamburg wouldn't agree with me.

Almost everyday on TV I see news about massacres in Mexico due to drug mafia matters. WTF!?
I hope you are ok.

Situation is relax now, but the city is empty, this looks like a ghost town now, i play in a band every friday in a bar, we always have 150-200 people, yesterday we had 0, nada!, :(

Yeah, i understand that we must at least include something in english, and i did in my last post, but we basically talking about "Narcocorridos", kinda "Folk" songs about characters and situations in the drug bussines, and papaguapique records them sometimes.

Hey! some guys write in german in lots of threads and nobody say something!! hahah just kidding.

I've heard of that shit ... don't they actually sing in detail about crimes they've committed, whether stealing or killing and just make them into folk songs so that they get played and viewed as just "entertainment" but as actual warnings for those "in the know"?

And yeah man, I know a relocation is sometimes a LOT easier said than done ... just didn't know how feasible it may as an option. Just make sure you and the wife stay safe and like everyone else said, keep your head down ;)
