and love it...

Its the first time I've heard the track, and was really impressed. The song weaves into so many diferent passages and places, the structure kind of hails to the days of Morningrise. Yet, there are some very heavy, almost straight death metal passages. Especially at the beginning where they brutally drag you through this very coarse and grindy exterior into a very melodic, atmospheric world.

thumbs up...I an waiting avidly for the release.

oh, and Martins drumming is tremendous. His skills definately shone throught, and though I'm no musician, I can see Mikael lets him deliver some furious blows, and for mine...he delivers the goods...

Where, in Sydney dude? IM not surprised actually, I used to hear Opeth on the radio all the time when I was living in Aus, yet noone really knew about them.

\m/

Well...This particular program is played Australia wide methinks. The host seems to particularly like Opeth...don't ask me why ;)

I also heard the song on 3 hours of power, this program is an Australia wide show, its on once a week so we only get 3 hours of metal on the radio per week. Although in the different cities there are various community stations that host a metal program once a week. We don't get much metal on the radio thats for sure. But this programs are always good to tune into.

A few good radio shows if you live in Aus :

3 hours of power : 10pm-1am Tuesday 107.5fm
Hard Report : 10pm-12am Sunday 102.7fm
Red Stink of Metal : 8pm-10pm Wednesday 106.7fm

cheers dude. Didn't know about the other 2 shows. A testament to my distaste of radio as a rule of thumb.

yeah those are melbourne stations (triple r (102.7) and pbs (106.7)), i don't think u'd get them in sydney. Those last 2 are community radio stations.

Also 107.5 is not the same frequency all over the country, that's just for metropolitan melbourne.

Hey does anybody get 89.5 WSOU? (one of the biggest college stations) If so, has anyone ever heard Opeth on it?

I used to be a regular listener of that station, until they changed their format. I never heard Opeth on it, although I heard Dream Theater last week. Now all they play is emo crap.
