I have never posted here before, so I'd just like to get the obligatory praise out of the way! :tickled:

In my opinion, you guys are the most under-rated band in metal. In a time when crappy, talentless hacks like KoRn are selling their rehased garbge to angst filled goth teens, Jag Panzer has remained a true original in my heart.

I first got hooked when I heard "Thane to the Throne". Definitely a CD I can never live without! Now "Mechanical Warfare" and "Casting the Stones" have become a staple in my favorites list. You guys may not be the most popular band, but that's a strength for you. I'd rather listen to a talented, tried and true, metal to the core, bunch of hard rocking tyrants any day!

And if you couldn't guess, "We've Got Another Cup Comin'" is a favorite song of mine!!!

Please tour Pittsburgh sometime soon!

P.S. Strictly by coincidence, my german shepherd's name is Panzer :D

Welcome to the Forum.Great Avatar, btw. :headbang:

Thanks guys

I just think that for some reason hockey and metal go together hand in hand. Pantera and the Stars, for example. I have never been the to the Pepsi Center, unfortunately, so I don't know if they ever play any Panzer. But it would be great for the band if they did!

"...Another Cup Comin'" would be a great one during playoff time

I'm glad you had fun, Harry. To me, the Wild are a very boring team. They play a very defensive style of hockey because they have so few explosive players, so the game kind of gets bogged down. But luckily the Avs have a lot of speedy, creative players so they must have had a good game that day.

As far as i can remember the AVS won 2:0 on that day.(btw,it was election day in the USA).
I've spent 9 days in Colorado and had a great time.Met my friends, saw a match of the AVS in the Pepsi Center, had dinner and a lot of fun with Mark Briody and John Tetley plus family, watched a gig of Silencer.... highlight after highlight:headbang: :headbang:

OH YEAH!!!!!!! An Avs logo in our forum!!!!!

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huge Avs fan here. HUGE!!!!!

Mark

Oh yeah! If you guys ever tour Pittsburgh, I guarantee there will be one guy wearing a Foote Jersey somewhere, and that will be me!

That may be the best nine days ever...
My biggest claim to fame thus far is that I got to shake hands with Ripper after an Iced Earth show this summer. My friend and I drove to Cleveland to see them once, and then we saw them on the 2nd leg when they stopped in Pittsburgh. AMAZING!

Guess Rikjard would be happy if you would wear a Forsberg jersey. :D
My favourite AVS player is Joe Sakic. :worship:

Wow,cool.Guess it was hard to met him...

We played Pittsburgh once. Club Lago I think it was called. Good crowd. I'd like to go back.

Foote is a excellent choice for a jersey. Adam Foote is a great hard nosed defenseman.

The only Av player I met was Patrick Roy. Ran into him in a parking lot. He was actually very nice (I had always heard the opposite).

Rikard is a Forsberg fan. He has a Swedish Forsberg jersey that he wears at gigs sometimes.

Tim Owens is one of the nicest guys in the music biz.

Mark

Yeah you gotta love Joe. This damn lockout is really messing things up. I think we would have had a real good team.

Yeah Mark I don't know about other cities, but we really try to get really excited for the shows when they come around. Even though we only have pretty small venues anymore, we still know how to rock. That Columbus (It was Columbus, not Cleveland) crowd was down-right lethargic. I can't remember if they closed the Lago or not... we've had a lot of the little venues close I think.

Hell, you guys can play at my place anyday :D

Welcome aboard, Avalanche9601.

For your own safety ( ;) ), don't dis the Raiders! Be happy there is a hockey strike, so the Avs don't have to face the mighty Senators! It would have been very simple, adding Hasek and we win the cup!

Sorry, couldn't help myself. :tickled:

Haha, thanks Aias!

I can't say anything about the Fai- err... Raiders since you guys beat us last time. :yell:

And yes, I am so glad that my Avs don't have to face your underachieving bunch of overachievers! :loco:

When are they going to beat the Maple Laughs?

The Avs logo reminds me of one of my favorite sports moments - watching Mr. Bourque hold that cup high over his head. I managed to obtain a copy of the Denver paper the next day (with the headline "HUR-RAY!") and I framed the front page. It's still on the wall today.

While not an Avs fan, I am a Bruins fan, and therefore a Ray Bourque fan. I was happy to see him win the Cup. If he couldn't win it with the Bruins, at least he won it with a quality organization...
