for £200, is it worth buying metal pack or can you just dial in and wang it to create same sounds?? I'm a born button pusher and knob turner...or will I be missing some essential software essentials if i don't purchase the metal pack?

What? The metal pack is 50 dollars, and I'm sure it's even fewer pounds.

The MetalShop pack is worth it's weight in gold...which doesn't sound right since it's software and theoretically according to some scientests up north with their theory that even software could weigh something since electronic signals have some kind of wierd mass making it like .000000000017 of a trillionth of an ounce....so .00000000017 of trillionth of an ounce in gold doesn't seem like much, but seriously, it should weigh about a thousand pounds.

Point is : The MS pack is extremely worth cost.

Actually, you know what, play around with your stock PODxt for about a week, and seriously try to come up with an amazing tone or at least something your are happy with. Count the time it took you to do such a task. Then buy yourself the MS pack. Then realize how much easier it is to get a better tone than the best one you had come up with using the stock models without even changing any settings on the new MS models. Then proceed to make the greatest 5150II digitally modelled patch ever recieved by any man's ears, post the patch, and become a god. Or you could just rock with the stock patches. Your call.
