Very, nice. Yes, very nice.....Has this song ever been played live before?

Yes.
They have played it, but very few times as far as I can tell.
They played it for their two "secret" shows at L'Amours in Brooklyn in Dec. 1989. They also played the intro live in 1986. I am getting a bootleg from Stan with that, I think. I also have some black&white video of Scott, Joey and three Dutch guys playng it live in some really small place in 1986. They may have played it during the Spreading the Disease tour, but the bootlegs I have from it do not have the song.

I never knew there was such a grassroots following for this song. The only 2 Joey albums that I listen to anymore are POT and ATL. I've grown out of the rest of them for some reason. There are some good songs on SOE but that album seems a bit rushed from a production and song devoloping stand point. STD has it's highlights too. But POT and ATL are the only ones I can listen to from opening track to ending track without getting bored. As far as Bush era is concerned. They're like kids I guess. You don't love one more than the other but V8 is the troublemaker.

Also, SOE was my first Anthrax album. I was 12 when I got it and "Anti-social" was all over MTV and the radio at the time. I liked SOE but when POT came out 2 years later, that's when I became a huge fan of the band. Every song on POT owns. The lyrics are permamently embedded in my brain. I'd listen to it every chance I got. On the bus to and from school on my walkman. During lunch. At friends' houses. We tried to learn them on the guitars. Also, I didn't get any of Anthrax's back catalogue until then. Attack of the killer B's was cool, but then shortly there after Joey was kicked out. I found out from a zine that came out every month that read like a newspaper. I was really bummed out about it because I thought it was the end of the band. Then they hired Bush and I thought it was a wierd match at first. I liked Armored Saint and I had March of the Saint at the time but I was just a little skeptical about him singing in Anthrax. I was blown away in the spring of 93 when SOWN came out.

You're right, they used to play it back in the day live. I can remember two or three times and I think they were all at L'Amours.
