Saw this ad on TV last night, and about fell out of my seat when the music kicks in about :45 in.

Yeah, that's Coheed & Cambria. I thought "Wow! That's some pretty cool music! Who is that?" I never thought I'd like something by C&C.

Coheed isn't really represented well by their singles (except Welcome Home). Most people who hate on them are only familiar with their poppy radio songs, but their albums are actually filled with lots of prog rock. Great, great band.

Yeah, I enjoy them. The story around the albums is also pretty entertaining if a bit ridiculous at times. I think most people only hear the singles and combined with the singer's voice toss it aside as emo garbage when it's really just alternative rock with a lot of progressive elements.
I do also really like The Suffering as one of their singles.

I think my favorite song is Gravemakers and Gunslingers

Coheed & Cambria are amazing and quite progressive both musically and lyrically. Anyone who likes progressive music should already own an album by them. Yes they have singles, but those are only snapshots of the full concept of each album.

I'm insulted that the band Kamelot was even brought up. The movie looks good, the music sounds like diarrhea.

it's funny that you still think that KAMELOT is still good. Again ANOTHER tired power metal band that i will say sucks now because they were brought up. please understand before hating on me that The Fourth Legacy and all CONCEPTION records are some of my favorite power/heavy metal records of all time. As well as Khan being one of my favorite vocalists, but KAMELOT are done reinventing their wheel.

so please someone else start posts about BLIND GUARDIAN, EDGUY, GAMMA RAY and HELLOWEEN so i can talk some more smack.

JK, anyway, please in your rants, use a little better sentence structure and punctuation so I can read them w/o having a migraine. I actually agree with some of what you said, but if you say it with "grace and dignity" your point will come across and Glenn won't have to spank you.
